In a PR coup, LG says that its 100-inch LCD screen (pictured above) has been accepted into the 2007 Guinness Book of World Records. It appears in the tome’s new Science and Technology Gadgets section, appropriately under the heading, ‘Largest LCD Screen.’ The set, which is not yet available commercially, stands 1.2m tall and has a contrast ratio of 3000:1.
The screen was first seen at last January’s CES, as a technology achievement. “The entry will be a chance to show LG’s technological advances, not to mention South Korea’s in the flat TV industry worldwide,” LG declared.
