Sony to buy in LCD panels from Taiwan

To help it meet rising demand, Sony is to begin sourcing LCD panels from Taiwanese panel-producer AU Optics. The company, which is part owned by Acer and BenQ, will supply 26-, 32- and 40-in panels for Sony’s entry-level screens from this Summer.
