Sony is to pull the plug on its Connect music service.. Conceding that it is unable to make headway against existing music download stores, the company will instead open up its Walkman audio players to non-DRM music files. The company made the announcement at IFA while announcing two new generation Windows media compatible audio/video portables, compatible with DRM-free MP3, WMA and AAC formats.
