Philips consumer electronics CEO Rudy Provoost is to step down from his role in 2008, as part of a company-wide restructure. He will take charge of the brand’s fast-growing Lighting Division, taking over from retiring Theo Van Deursen. As part of the restructure, Philips says it will focus on three core markets going forward: Health Care, Lighting, and Lifestyle, which now incorporates its consumer electronics operation.
