Much loved Dr Who episode Blink has taken a key SF award at the 66th World Science Fiction Convention, beating out Battlestar Galactica‘s Razor Movie and the Torchwood episode Captain Jack Harkness.
The 2008 Hugo awards were announced at the event, and saw Steven Moffat and episode director Hettie Macdonald winning the Hugo for Best Dramatic Presentation-Short Form.
Winner of Best Dramatic Presentation-Long Form was a surprise. The Hugo went to the movie Stardust, based on the graphic novel by Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess. It won over critical hits Enchanted, The Golden Compass, Heroes: Season 1 and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
